Documenting and maintaining HowTo's and issue resolutions on Gemini
I used to keep a lot of my howto's and resolutions in a text document years ago. Then I moved up to Evernote. It worked but Evernote was not free and I could only sync with one device. THats a no-go for me. Then I discovered Joplin a few years ago and it has been my companion ever since. It's chock full of stuff.
That still works, but I thought, "what if I want to share what I have learned?" Joplin can do that but it seemed like a lot of work for something maybe a handfull (or maybe no one?) would ever read.
Now, with my dive into the small web, I may have found the solution. I created a capsule at gemini://techbook.njb1966.com on my Molly-Brown server and have been slowly populating thnings I had discovered that are still relevant, as well as things I am discovering int he small web/self-hosting world.
It's simple, and I can access it from just about anywhere as well as having folks access it as well. I plan on continuing to populate it as I discover new things, processes that work, simple commands and fixes that I run into often enough that it warrans documenting.
